We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all payroll-related regulations, and maintaining up-to-date employee records. You will play a key role in managing payroll activities and resolving payroll-related issues to ensure the smooth operation of payroll functions within the company.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage the company’s payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
Handle payroll tax reporting and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including changes in pay rates, bonuses, and deductions.
Assist in the preparation of annual W-2s and other payroll-related documents.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer payroll-related inquiries from employees.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
